What Wind? What Waves?
When Peter walked on water, his faith in Jesus was the only thing that kept him from sinking. The waves and winds of life’s difficulties are insignificant to Jesus and to us. With Him, we can accomplish anything. Without Jesus, we cannot even take a single step on the path to Life, so much does Jesus want to be in communion with us.
Living in His Way of Life is truly exciting because it reminds us that God reveals incredible things we could never accomplish on our own. Keep your focus on Jesus—there are no distractions in His loving gaze. He will always be faithful to us. When we stay close to Him, the impossible becomes reality, not just for us but for everyone around us.
Let’s embrace the obstacles and challenges that come our way each day. Stay close to Jesus from the moment you wake up until you lie down to rest. Always share your thoughts and feelings with Him. And when faced with difficulties that feel overwhelming, remember to rejoice because you’re on the verge of witnessing miracles unfold.
How can we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus? It’s important not to put our trust in anything but Jesus. If we stumble like Peter, reach for His hand to save us. We can take comfort in knowing that Jesus will never leave us. By staying close to Jesus through prayer and the Sacraments, we will always find our way back to Him.
Gospel Challenge:
Whenever Jesus invites you to walk on water with Him, keep this comforting psalm close to your heart: “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1). It’s a warm reminder of His constant presence and His power to guide you through anything, no matter how challenging it may seem.
Hear Jesus tell us what He said to the disciples after His Resurrection: “My brothers, be at peace.”Peace everyone.
