Your Faith Story
In The Acts of the Apostles, it’s inspiring to see how, as persecution started in Jerusalem, ordinary members of the Church—those who aren’t clergy—spread out to share the message of the Gospel. Everyone except the apostles left, which really highlights how much Jesus values everyone in his Church, not just the leaders, in sharing His Word.
Stories have this special way of connecting us. We love going to the movies, getting lost in books, and telling jokes that are really stories at heart. It’s amazing how we can see ourselves in these tales. Sharing our faith works on a similar level, creating that same sense of connection and understanding.
Someone who hasn’t experienced the Lord firsthand might find it hard to connect with dogma and church teachings. But they’ll likely be inspired by your personal stories, which bring Jesus to life in a way that’s easy to relate to.
But they will listen to your stories. Our life stories and experiences help make Jesus a real person that people can connect with. Before people can enjoy the Bread of Life at the Eucharist, they first need to experience the bread that gives life through our heartfelt witness.
When you share your faith story and how Jesus called you to Himself, you help others feel valued in God’s plan and inspire them to respond to His call.
Be a warm, inviting presence for your loved ones. Remember, faith isn’t just about doctrines or debates over right and wrong. Your genuine sharing can reassure others that Jesus is approachable and loving.
Gospel Challenge:
Jesus warmly invited his disciples with the words, “Come, follow me.” Now, let’s go out to the four corners of the world and share the wonderful message the Lord has placed in our hearts.
